Dusty & Cayley

Dusty came into my life when I volunteered at Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary—a sweet, not-quite-four-month-old rescue pup with a huge heart. I gave him short leash sessions, calm introductions to new surfaces, and lots of upbeat play so the world felt safe and fun.

Cayley is my friend’s dog. At the end of last August my lease ended and my friend happened to fly abroad for a few weeks, so—by a lucky twist—I moved into their place and did my first ever live-in house-sit. Cayley has energy for days, so we worked in ~3-hour cycles: long fetch blocks at the nearby field, sniff-walks and play for mental enrichment, water and rest, repeat.😆
